Photography 🢒 Hong Kong 1992-1995

A typical Sunday in Central, 1992.
The economy of Hong Kong was much aided by hundreds of thousands of domestic workers, mostly from the Philippines. The standard deal was that they lived in their employer's flats, and they all had one day per week off. Consequently, every Sunday they would flood the streets, colonizing some entire areas which the authorities blocked to traffic to give them space.
